Tongue and Groove Soffits, Entry Beams, and a Trellis on a Naples Home
A Finished Ceiling Treatment Along the Roofline
On most Naples homes the soffit is the least considered surface on the exterior. It gets a vented panel or a smooth coat of stucco, and nobody looks at it again. On this project it became the detail that sets the whole elevation apart.
Our tongue and groove planks were installed along the soffits, carrying a finished ceiling treatment all the way to the edge of the roof. The linear pattern pulls the eye along the eave line and gives each overhang visible depth and shadow, which is what gives the exterior profile its regal, deliberately finished look from the street.
Wood Detail From the Entry to the Fireplace
The entryway was framed with faux wood beams, giving the approach to the front door the weight and presence of structural timber. A fireplace mantel carried that same wood character to a second focal point, so the two elements read as one design language rather than separate selections.
Both come from our beam line and share its textures and finishes. Those textures are taken from actual wood species, so the grain holds up at arm’s length at the front door and from across the room at the fireplace.
A Trellis Designed for Southwest Florida
The trellis completes the package. Unlike the soffit and the entry, a trellis is open to sun, rain, and humidity on every face, which is exactly where real timber struggles most in Southwest Florida.
Our trellis systems use a specially formulated high-density polyurethane that is indistinguishable from natural wood once installed. Like the planks, beams, and mantel on this home, it resists moisture, insects, warping, splitting, cracking, and rot, so the exterior keeps its finished look without the sanding and resealing a wood package would demand.
Create a Cohesive Exterior From One Material Package
Tongue and groove planks, beams, mantels, and trellis systems can all be produced in coordinated textures and finishes, so a home reads as one design from the soffits down. Our estimating department can prepare a detailed take off from your architectural plans before anything ships.
